Wouldn’t you be delighted if your children were friends? I know that’s my desire for my children. Once upon a time, many years ago, I wrote this story to help my two daughters see the value of sisterly friendship. I hope your children will find the treasure they already possess right in their own homes.

THERE’S A FRIEND IN MY HOUSE:
Alyssa is moping because she wants a friend to play with. When Alyssa’s mother tells her there is a friend in her house, Alyssa jumps into action searching the whole house to find this hidden friend. When Alyssa stops to explain to her little sister what a friend really is, Katie decides she needs a friend, too. Suddenly, a new thought pops into Alyssa’s head, “Why look for a friend? Why not BE one instead!” And so she finds the best kind of friend right there in her house.
A sister or brother is a friend that’s just right. ‘Cuz even on school days, your friend spends the night!
